We had our end-of-the-season fun soccer tournament today, and many prizes were handed out, including one to moi!
Here it is:
You know what the best thing about this award is? It's made of chocolate. In fact, I will probably be eating it right after I finish this post. Award recipients were nominated by the opposing team throughout the tournament in a number of categories, some related to actual play, and some related to the costumes and makeup that players wore. So, what was my award for, you are probably asking yourself. Best goal? Furthest kick? Most sportsmanlike? Nope. I believe the official category was "Make-up", with the subtitle "Best dirty morning-after hooker makeup award":
You can't really see the bright purple eyeshadow in this pic, but believe me, it stood out. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank my makeup artist, Cathy, who is also one of our forwards! I couldn't have done it without her!
You know what is really funny ~ I went out for lunch to a local deli like this!
On a completely unrelated subject- it is SNOWING out right now!! Can you believe it? You can see in the picture it was sunny during the tournament, although it was chilly. Not 10 minutes ago, I was looking at my toenails thinking "I'd better give myself a pedi as I will be wanting to wear open-toed shoes soon!" ARGH!
